A fanatic Geek

This document was published in the international Herald Tribune. It is a drawing made by Chapatte, a famous cartoonist .The scene takes place at the Cannes film festival on the prestigious Red carpet . In the background we can see there are two actors walking up the stairway waving at the crowd and being flashed by paparazzi. We can also see the fans waving and begging for an autograph . In the foreground of the picture we see an overjoyed fan who is wearing a white T-shirt with an internet symbol on it , Chapatte probably wanted the fan to look like a geek .The blond woman looks haughty she may be the wife or the girlfriend of the man who's standing right next to her . The man is most likely a film director , he looks upset by what the teenager just said to him .
Through this drawing the cartoonist criticizes teenagers who download movies illegally on the internet .
In my opinion this teenager does represent our generation ,  most of us do download just because we don't have time to go to the movies or we just can't afford to buy all the movies we want to watch .I don't think that downloading should be limited because illegal downloading makes our lives much easier.
